Expenses in University Of Jinan

1. Tuition Fee:

After you are admitted, we will inform you via email for your confirmation of acceptance. Afterward, we will issue the admission letter, JW201/202 Form for visa application. If you wish to live on campus, please complete the Housing Application form.

Prepare Your Departure:

Before your departure, be sure to take the following materials:

(1) The Admission Letter

(2) Passport (valid for at least 6 months).

(3) JW201/202 Form

(4) Official Foreigner Physical Examination Form and your blood test report.

Be aware that the orientation is mandatory for freshman students.

Apply for a course in a Chinese University is very easy.  Students just have to follow some steps to apply for their favorite course. In order to help students complete their online application, International students are recommended to follow the following simple instructions. International applicants must provide the following documents to apply:

1. Application Form fills in Chinese or in English.

2. Passport & Passport Size Photo (Scan copy of the applicant’s )

3. Transcripts & Certificates  (Must be Notarized Copy )

For Bachelor Degree applicants, they need to only provide high school transcripts and certificates. And for Master Degree applicants, they need to show their undergraduate transcripts and certificates.  Applicants for Doctorate Degree have to provide their both (undergraduate and graduate) transcripts and certificates. 

Note: All the applicants degree (Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate) transcripts and certificates should be notarized and language should be in Chinese or English version.

4. English Proficiency Certificate

In China, some universities do not ask IELTS but if you study in Chinese Taught for CSC scholarship, English Proficiency Certificate needs to have ready. If you have IELTS already then you are lucky to study in China without delay.

5. CV/Resume

Applicants must have to make their CV if you want to study abroad in your desired country. In your Resume or CV, there have to be your academic qualifications with results, personal details (name, date of birth, marital status, national Id or school Id, physical address, contact no, nationality, language, etc), reference from your institution’s faculty (his/her name, address and designation), personal achievement, etc. To know how to make a standard CV please click here the sample of The Resume.

6. Study Plan or Research Proposal

Applicants for graduate studies need a study plan or research proposal in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words). This document required only for Ms or PhD applicants.

7. Recommendation Letter

Applicants for all graduate studies need two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English). Letters must be included professors’ phone numbers and email addresses. Here is the sample of Recommendation Letter

8. Published Academic Papers or Other Academic Achievements (if  applicable).

9. Foreign Physical Examination

Applicants are expected to keep the original copies filled in English. The medical examination must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Medical examination results will be valid for 6 months. All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor into consideration as they plan to take the medical examination. 10. Bank Statement 

Bank statements must show to any foreign country for the purpose of a visitor or a business or an immigrant. For the study purpose in foreign countries also need to show a bank statement. So dear applicants, you will need to have ready your all documents. Sponsorship can be your parents or anyone who is your blood-related.

11. Police Verification (No Criminal Record)

This is also needed to have ready for the study purpose. It is important because a foreign country does not allow criminal records. A Police Clearance Certificate is an official document approved by the police or government agencies in order to prove that the applicant has no criminal offense against him/her like arrest, conviction. For this, you need to provide your Police Clearance Certificate. A Police Certificate is also known as a good citizen certificate. See the sample of  Police clearance Certificate.

Chinese Government Scholarships 

With the purpose of promoting understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people from all over the world, the Chinese government sets up various scholarship schemes to offer financial support for international students and scholars to undertake studies and research in Chinese institutions of higher education.

Please prepare the following documents before you apply any programs. 

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
2. Applicants must abide by the Chinese government’s laws, rules and regulations and school regulatory framework. 
3. Education background and age limit: 

• Applicants for Non-degree must be the age of between 16 and 35.)
• Applicants for Bachelor’s degree study must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification and be under the age of 25.
• Applicants for master degree must obtain bachelor degree or equivalent qualification and be under the age of 35.
• Applicants for doctoral degree must obtain a master degree or equivalent qualification and be under the age of 45.

Application eligibility:

• Notarized Certificate of applicant’s diploma or degree. (Applicants need to submit proof of employment or study issued by the applicants’ current employer or school if the applicants are currently working or studying.)
• Academic Transcript, in notarized Chinese or English translation.
• Applicants’ study or research plan, either in Chinese or in English.
• Two Letters of Recommendation written by persons of at least associate professors from the applicant’s alumni university in English or in Chinese for students applying for master or doctoral degree.
• Photocopy of the applicant’s Valid Passport.
• Physical Examination Form.

In recent years, the University of Jinan has been strongly developing for an  international students education. So far it has enrolled more than 100 international students from many countries like the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Indonesia, Ghana, Pakistan, Spain, and other countries for further education and exchange study.

As the first undergraduate foreign students, 6 students from Indonesia graduated from our university on June 2007. October In 2004, International Institute of Education was established to promote the education of foreign students which is dedicated to students’ enlistment, administration and management as well as Chinese teaching and cultural promotion. 

Based on the Chinese language levels of the foreign students, International Institute of Education operates all types of long term and short term Chinese classes and implements seminars with not more than 6 students per class. University of Jinan offers students with different training programs, as well as fundamental Chinese, oral Chinese, reading, listening, writing, audiovisual courses taught by experienced foreign language teachers. 

The school operates each year learning and experiencing classes of Chinese culture, such as calligraphy, tai chi, cooking, folk musical instruments, introduction to China, Chinese history and Confucianism lectures. To reinforce the logistics service infrastructure and better accommodate the foreign students, the school convert the department of foreign experts into students’ apartment in 2007. New student apartments are equipped with full and perfect living facilities, which has greatly improved accommodation conditions and is well evaluated by foreign students.
