30 Most Affordable Universities in China for International Students
Why Study in China
China has become a global study destination for international students. Students from many different countries are now pursuing their higher studies in China because of the reputation of the Chinese universities. China has the vision to surpass the American, European, and Australian education systems. The country has begun to compete with those education systems in many respects. Over the past few years, it has been investing a lot in its (Chinese) education system. It has already exceeded the universities in the first-world countries in respect of sculpture. China builds universities with modern sculptures on enormous campuses (500 acres on average). Chinese universities have developed partnerships with the big names in the education sector and corporate world. The country budgets a lot for lab facilities and research. Because of the availability of enough budget in the education sector, there are also fully-funded (tuition-free) scholarships in Chinese universities available for international students. You can apply for Chinese scholarships here.
Universities in China with Low Tuition Fees and Living Expenses
The tuition fees and living costs in China are also lower than that of many developing countries, such as Bangladesh, India, Malaysia. The living expenses in particular cities are high. But in most cities, the cost is affordable (800 RMB on average). There are many universities in China with low tuition fees. Students can study in both Chinese-taught and English-taught courses in China. 90% of the English-taught courses require English language proficiency tests such as IELTS (band score 6 to 6.5 in most cases). To study Chinese-taught courses, international students are asked to complete a 1-year Chinese language course to attain the language level, HSK-4. The Chinese-taught courses are mostly affordable, but there are also English-taught undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. courses available in China with low tuition fees.
